Job description:
The Manager Airline Projects will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering the SkyFive Air to Ground Inflight Connectivity solution to airline customers. The role includes managing a cross-functional team in India and abroad, coordinating with all stakeholders including customers and suppliers, ensuring regulatory compliance with the DGCA, and driving the deployment with the MRO.
Key responsibilities:
- Project planning and execution: define project scope, objectives, deliverables; develop detailed plans, including timelines, budgets, and risk assessments.
- Stakeholder coordination: manage interactions with customers, internal teams, suppliers, and regulatory bodies towards flawless project execution.
- Regulatory compliance: ensure adherence to aviation industry standards, safety regulations, and OEM-specific guidelines.
- Budget and resource management: allocate resources effectively, monitor and optimize cost.
- Risk management: identify and communicate risks, develop and drive mitigations.
- Quality assurance: ensure that deliverables meet aviation industry standards.
- Reporting and documentation: maintain detailed project records, provide regular updates to leadership, and conduct post-project evaluation.
Qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s / master’s degree in aeronautical engineering or aviation management
- Experience: 8 to 10 years in aviation project management with an OEM or an Inflight Connectivity Service Provider; or working within the technical projects team of airline(s); proven track record of successfully managing Inflight Connectivity or avionics projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) and proficiency in project management tools a plus.

Key responsibilities:
- Project planning and execution: define project scope, objectives, deliverables; develop detailed plans, including timelines, budgets, and risk assessments.
- Stakeholder coordination: manage interactions with internal teams, partners, suppliers, and regulatory bodies towards flawless project execution.
- Regulatory compliance: ensure adherence to telecommunications industry standards and specific guidelines for the provision of mobile networks and Internet services.
- Budget and resource management: allocate resources effectively, monitor and optimize cost.
- Risk management: identify and communicate risks, develop and drive mitigations.
- Quality assurance: ensure that deliverables meet telecommunications industry standards.
- Reporting and documentation: maintain detailed project records, provide regular updates to leadership, and conduct post-project evaluation.
Qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s / master’s degree in telecommunications engineering.
- Experience: 8 to 10 years in aviation project management with a mobile operator or a major mobile network infrastructure vendor; proven track record of successfully managing 4G/5G network implementation projects.
- Proficiency in 4G/5G RAN and Core, and IP transport.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) and proficiency in project management tools a plus.
